Sensory Movie Day – The Lion King
September 8 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm
Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.
Sensory Movie Day is for families with Special Needs. We want families to feel welcome while their children are free to roam around the cinema, stim and be themselves.
This is a non-judgmental session and no need for families to feel uncomfortable. We have the lights left on dim and the volume is adjusted slightly. Exits are monitored.
Tickets are available to purchase from the cinema and also available online.
Tickets are $6 each. (Please note when purchasing online there is a booking fee)
Children 2 years and under are free.
Companion Cards are accepted.
Event Cinemas are proud to bring sensory friendly films to families living with autism and other sensory needs.
(PLEASE NOTE: Sensory screenings do not run during the school holidays).
